Survial Sunday aka s**t your pants sunday!

So it’s a come down to 90 minutes of football for 5 clubs. 2 positions in the Premier League that they’ll all be hoping to avoid! At least the players can concentrate on actually playing the game, they have a direct influence on what happens, whereas it’s the supporters who I feel for. Radio’s pushed to their ears looking for any sign that another team is doing worse than them!

So, who will survive?( As Gloria Gaynor kinda said)

Well for whats its worth…..

Wigan will win at Stoke putting them on 42 points

Blackpool will draw at Man U putting them on a bum twitching 40

Birmingham will lose at Spurs (Can’t believe i’m predicting a spuds win!) leaving Birnmingham on 39 points and going down!

Which leaves the game between Wolves and Blackburn. For me, Wolves will win, it’ll be close but their form and ’12th man’ should see them safe putting them on 43 and Blackburn on 40.

Blackpool’s trip to the top flight comes to a gutting end……on goal difference! Cruel, yes, but its a 7 goal diff before todays game and that some’s up Blackpool’s naiive attitude towards defending. It’s all very well saying you score 3 but we’ll score more, but if on more occasions than not you don’t score more your in trouble. Great memories from Blackpool but I think they’ll struggle to return though I hope I’m wrong!

As for the gunners well, another rollercoaster of a season which we could ‘get away with it ‘ if Bolton do us a favour and we can actually beat Fulham. Or leave a slightly bad taste in our mouths if the more likely happens and City thrash Bolton or we mess up!

I’m starting with the facebook 30 day song challenge. I initially couldnt be bothered doing this over the space of one month but once I saw my good friend Steves all in one blog version I was sold!

day 02 – your least favorite song:  Bat out of hell by Meatloaf ( in all honesty it could’ve been any of Meats back catalogue!)

 

day 03 – a song that makes you happy: Hey Hey we’re The Monkees by The Monkees

 

day 04 – a song that makes you sad: The River by Bruce Springsteen (love the song, quality story and lyrics but not the most uplifting song!)

 

day 05 – a song that reminds you of someone: Midnight train to Georgia by Glayds Knight ( reminds me of my gorgeous fiancee Emma belting it out on karaoke/recording studio)

 

day 06 – a song that reminds you of somewhere: Creep by Radiohead (Happy Duck, Borovets a guy called Kostos played it for me as thanks for going round the bar and collecting the tips!)

 

day 07 – a song that reminds you of a certain event:  Fix You by Coldplay ( I was at the concert when they recorded the video for this track, still gives me goosebumps!)

 
day 08 – a song that you know all the words to: If I had a million dollars by Bare Naked Ladies

 

day 09 – a song that you can dance to: Born Slippy by Underworld (brings back drunken memories from numerous venues inc. Sol Viva)

 

day 10 – a song that makes you fall asleep : Heal the World by Micael Jackson (yyaaawwwwnnn dullsville!)

 

day 11 – a song from your favorite band :  Elephant Stone by Stone Roses

 

day 12 – a song from a band you hate: Insert anything by NDubz here!

 

day 13 – a song that is a guilty pleasure : Bring It All Back  by S Club 7  (pure cheese!)

 

day 14 – a song that no one would expect you to love :  A Guy Works Down The Chipshop Swears He”s Elvis by Kirsty MacColl  (first heard on a  free tape  from weetabix)

 

day 15 – a song that describes you  Luccky Man by The Vevve (because I am …enough said)

 
day 16 – a song that you used to love but now hate: Amarillo (mine and Steves roadtrip to prague song untill it got highjacked by Peter Kay!)

 

day 17 – a song that you hear often on the radio- Firework by Katy Perry

 

day 18 – a song that you wish you heard on the radio: Sloop John B by The Beach Boys

 

day 19 – a song from your favorite album: Empty Cans by The Streets (Excellent album where the story runs throughout. Always one to listen from start to finish)

 

day 20 – a song that you listen to when you’re angry: Points of Authority/99 Problems by Linken Park & Jay Z

 
day 21 – a song that you listen to when you’re happy: Theme from Cheers (let’s face it, we all want to drink in a place where everyone knows our name!)

 

day 22 – a song that you listen to when you’re sad: The  Scientist by Coldplay (no real reason but quality song and snaps me out of my mood most times!)

day 24 – a song that you want to play at your funeral: I am the resurrection by Stone Roses ( at the moment anyway!)

day 25 – a song that makes you laugh: New Workout Plan by Kanye West

day 26 – a song that you can play on an instrument: Half The World Away by Oasis

day 27 – a song that you wish you could play:Bartender and the Thief by The Sterophonics

day 28 – a song that makes you feel guilty: Born to Run by Bruce Springsteen ( the only way it makes me feel guilty though is that I’ve never seen The Boss live)

day 29 – a song from your childhood: Too Shy by Kajagoogoo (first single I ever bought)

day 30 – your favorite song at this time last year: Stay too long by Plan B
